Last September 12, 2018 marked the opening event of the makesense Academy, our 6 month customized incubation program.

The event was held at Batala Bar, Makati with around 150 people in attendance. It was an amazing night wherein our different social entrepreneurs got the chance to pitch their ideas, and network with possible future partners.

During that night, we officially introduced the 8 social enterprises benefiting from our incubation program. Each of our social entrepreneurs seek to tackle a specific social issue, and the reason we decided to support these projects, tackling different social and environmental challenges, is because we firmly believe that by bringing these solutions together we can help lay the groundwork for a more inclusive and sustainable society.

Valea Health Coach

Valea Health Coach is a health tech startup which is focused on applying IoT, AI, and Mobile Technology to solve challenges in the health, wellness, and fitness industry. It aims to provide reliable health information even to the most marginalized communities in the Philippines.

Savant Solutions

Savant Solutions is an early-stage social enterprise that aims to encourage businesses to partner with people with disabilities for their telemarketing operations. Savant’s mission is to empower people with disabilities while changing the way society perceives them.

Squeaky Clean Kids

Squeaky Clean Kids is a soap brand that provides hygienes kits, livelihood programs and services to low-income communities, while educating them about proper hygiene practices. For every soap they sell, one gets donated to a low-income community in the Philippines.

Exceptional Sports Philippines

Exceptional Sports Philippines offers sports development programs for children with special needs in order to better develop their social life skills. They believe that sports is an essential factor in a child’s development; and so, it must be inclusive to everyone.

Sinaya Cup

Sinaya Cup is a menstrual cup brand that aims to empower women across the Philippines; its mission is to make women feel confident, healthy, and clean, while reducing the amount of waste generated by napkins. For every cup they sell, one gets donated a public school student in the Philippines.

e-Magsasaka

e-Magsasaka is a online platform that connects local farmers directly to institutional buyers, while providing up-to-date market information that helps farmers properly price their produce. Their platform takes away the need of the traditional middleman, effectively increasing the farmers’ revenue by up to 20%.

Uproot

Uproot aims to address the socio-economic dimensions of food insecurity and poverty by enabling innovative and sustainable localised food systems with the use of Aquaponics Technology. It sets up aquaponics systems in low-income communities in order to provide food and livelihood opportunities to people in need.

ATE_Co

ATE_Co helps urban and rural poor families by providing them with safe, affordable lighting solutions that use solar power and lithium batteries. They aim to lessen the use of kerosene lamps, candles, or illegal connected lights.
