The SenseCamp Philippines 2018 will center on the theme of Sustainable Tourism and will be held from October 20-21, 2018, in the beautiful venue of Mount Purro Nature Reserve. Here are some commonly asked questions about the SenseCamp to guide you:
1. Where is the venue?
The Sensecamp will be held in our partner venue, Mount Purro Nature Reserve, located at Barangay Calawis, Antipolo City, Philippines. It is a famIily-run eco-park, tucked away in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, near Metro Manila. It is a simple yet distinct sustainable travel destination. 2. What amenities are available?
Our venue has several different activities made available for us during our stay, including a game room, a bonfire, swimming pool, and nature playscape. Find out more through their website.
3. Accommodation type?
We will all be staying at the their cozy farm-style accommodation, The Pavillion Hostel, inspired by the Filipino bahay kubo! It is airey, open, and sustainable. We will be dividing the hostel between ladies and gents. You may find more photos of the accommodation here.
The cost of accommodation is included in your small monetary contribution.
4. Transportation to and from venue?
The bus will leave from our pick up point, Makati City on October 20, 2018 at 6:30 AM sharp. Travel time to Mount Purro, Antipolo City is around 2 hours.
The bus will depart Mount Purro, Antipolo City on October 21, 2018 early afternoon and will be returning to Makati City as well. No drop-offs will be made throughout the route of the bus.
The cost of transportation is included in your small monetary contribution.
5. Suggestion clothing and materials?
We suggest that you bring comfortable and casual clothes suitable for our venue and location.
Please bring your own insect repellent, towel, toiletries. You may also opt to bring swimwear, slippers, and caps.
Please refrain from bringing too much plastic waste!
6. Cellular and internet service?
As the beautiful venue of Mount Purro is tucked away in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, please expect the weak or limited cellular service. There will also be no wifi available.

In the spirit of keeping with our mission and theme of sustainability, all meals will be vegetarian for the duration of the camp. Each individual will have a set meal from the fresh and hearty Loli’s Kitchen.
The cost of all meals is included in your small monetary contribution.
8. T-Shirt Sizes
T-shirts and t-shirt sizes are on a first come, first serve basis, so secure your attendance as soon as possible! We will give the shirts out on the morning of the camp.
9. Scholarships for the camp?
At the moment we are not in the position to offer any scholarships for the camp.
